During the
official Formula BMW Europe test days at Hockenheim, the Team of
Josef Kaufmann Racing only took part with Esteban Gutiérrez. The
other two Kaufmann Drivers Kazeem Manzur and Marco Wittmann,
according to the Formula BMW Europe Regulation 2008 allowing only a
special amount of testing days, were not allowed to take part at
this test.
Esteban
Gutiérrez has shown a very strong performance directly from the
beginning of the test day. The young Mexican Driver did very
constant fast lap times and was on top of the time table at any time
of the day. At lunch break Gutiérrez was fastest with a time of
1.45.733. This also didn´t change in the afternoon session. On new
tires he set again the fastest lap of the day with a time of
1.45.106.
On the
second day Gutiérrez, like his two other teammates, wasn´t allowed
any more to take part at the official test.
