Free Practise: On the 7 km long track of Spa Francorchamps the young drivers only had a few laps during he 25 minutes long free practise to get used again to that challenging track. Marco Wittmann showed an impressive performance with setting the fastest lap time. Esteban Gutiérrez was on P4 and Kazeem Manzur on P7.

Qualifying: In the beginning of Qualifying the track was still a bit wet and all Kaufmann Drivers went out on wet tires. After a few laps all drivers came in to change onto slick tires. In the end it was again Marco Wittmann who took Pole Position for the first time this year and qualified 2nd for the race on Sunday. Esteban Gutiérrez and Kazeem Manzur were struggeling with the conditions and traffic. In the end both drivers had a very disappointing qualifying. Manzur qualified on P15 and P18, even worse Esteban Gutiéerez on P18 and P20.

Race 1: At the start to the first race Marco Wittmann defended his Pole Position and was leading the field. With constant fast race laps he pulled away from the rest of the field. In the end, after a race without any mistakes Marco Wittmann won his first race of this year with over 5 seconds advance. Both other Kaufmann drivers where a bit unlucky. After having gained already some positions, both drivers where involded in an incidient and were dropped back at the end of the field. Finally Kazeem Manzur finished 14th and Esteban Gutiérrez 17th.

Race 2: Having started from P2 Marco Wittmann was able to hold his position. Kazeem Manzur had a very good start and moved up some positions. Unfortunately in turn 3 two guys in front of him spun and crashed into Kazeem´s car. With a broken rear suspension the race for Kazeem Manzur was already finished in the first lap. Esteban Gutiérrez had a very good opening lap. He was able to move up from P20 to 10th position. After a short Safety Car Period Marco Wittmann took over the lead, but then was pushed beside the track on the long straight after Eau Rouge and dropped back to 4th position. Fighting for 3rd, Marco tried to overtake in the chicane bevor Start-Finish, but with 3 cars side by side he had to leave the track again to avoid an accident and finished on 6th position. Esteban Gutiérrez in the end moved up 2 more positions and finished on P8.
