Free Practise:
In the free
practise on the very demanding track of Budapest, the Kaufmann
Drivers had been able to show a good performance once again. Robin
Frijns who missed the official testing days on this circuit due to
an illness, had set the fastest practise time. Teammate Facu Regalia
was on P 6, and Kazeem Manzur slightly struggleing on P 12.
Qualifying:
In the Qualifying
all Kaufmann Drivers struggled with using the optimum out of the new
tires. Robin Frijns set the 4 th fastest Laptime overall, but didn´t
found a clear lap later on and only qualified 10 th for race two.
Facu Regalia qualified 7 th and 9 th. Kazeem Manzur wasn´t able to
set two error free laps and only qualified himself on P 12 and P 11.
Race 1:
Robin Frijns had a
very good start and moved himself into 3 rd position in the first
corner. Facu Regalia and Kazeem Manzur, both lost some positions in
the opening lap. Regalia finally recovered from his bad start and
moved himself up to P 7 again and was closing the gap to the drivers
in the front. Anyway he wasn´t able to catch any better position and
he finished 7 th. Kazeem Manzur was involved in overtaking action
the whole race and wasn´t able to find his race rhythm. He only
finished on P 13. Robin Frijns at the beginning was able to close
the gap to the drivers in the front. In the middle of the race he
was set under pressure rom the following car and finally lost a
position and dropped back to P 4 at the end.
Race
2:
At the start to the race on
Sunday, all Kaufmann Drivers dropped back several positions. Facu
Regalia spun during the race and dropped back to a hopeless P 20.
Kazeem Manzur again was in many battles for order and wasn´t able to
improve himself in the order. He finally finished on P 14. Robin
Frijns recovered a bit after the first laps and was putting pressure
on the drivers in front. Unfortunately overtaking was too hard and
Frijns finished on P 10. |
