Free Practise:
The free practise
on the Street Circuit of Valencia went very good for Robin Frijns
and Kazeem Manzur. Although Frijns was the first time on this track
he managed to set the 3rd fastest laptime, followed by teammate
Kazeem Manzur on P 4. Facu Regalia was very unlucky. After two laps
Regalia´s BMW engine blow and he had to stop the session.
Qualifying:
In Qualifying Robin
Frijns again was the fastest Kaufmann Driver. He qualified himself
two times for P 5. Kazeem Manzur managed to qualify himself two times
for P 7. Facu Regalia, due to the lack of free practise qualified on
P 10 and P 11.
Race 1:
In the first race Robin Frijns had a good start and was attacking
the drivers in front of him right on from the beginning. After a
Safety Car Period the Kaufmann Drivers were positionend 5., 6., and
7. After many overtaking action the final laps of the race brough
even more changes. Kazeem Manzur, while fighting for P6 crahsed and
had to stopp the race. Facu Regalia took P 6 and finished the race
on that position. Robin Frijns had the best final lap. He managed to
overtake two drivers in the last lap and finished on P 3. With that
great performance the young Rookie Driver scored another podium
finish this year.
Race
2:
Frijns again had a
good start and moved up to P 4. While fighting for P 3 Frijns
unfortunately damaged his front wing and was forced by a warning
flag of the Race Direction to make a pit stop and change front wing.
After the pit stop Frijns dropped back to the end of the field and
finally finished the race on P 14. Kazeem Manzur as well slightly
damaged his car at the opening lap and dropped back many positions.
In the end Manzur moved up to P 10. The best race had young spanish
Facu Regalia. Like the day before, with fast race laps he was able
to move up to P 6 at the end of the race. |
