Free Practice:
During
the
Free Practice the
track conditions had been very difficult as it rained veryhard, what
finally lead to a cancellation of the session. Anyway it was Robin
Frijns who was fastest, Teammate Hannes van Asseldonk was 5th and
Petri Suvanto was 12th fastest.
Qualifying:
Also in the Qualifying it was raining very heavy.
Unfortunately the Kaufmann Drivers hadn´t been lucky during at all.
None of them was able to catch a really free lap and also yellow
flag sequences had been a handicap for them. Robin Frijns qualified
two times on P5, but received a 5 Grid Penalty for Race 1. Hannes
van Asseldonk qualified 7 and 9. Petri Suvanto was on P15 and P14.
Race 1:
At the start to the first Hannes van Asseldonk was able to move up
to P4. During the first lap he did some nice overtaking moves and
went upto P2. Robin Frijns as well was able to move up to P5. Petri
Suvanto was a bit unlucky and damaged his front wing slightly. He
dropped back to the end of the field.
After a Safety Car
Period Hannes van Asseldonk for the first time this year was able to
take over the lead of the field. After two laps in the lead a battle
for the lead came up. 4 Cars had been fighting for the lead. Frijns
and van Asseldonk had a hard but fair fight for P2 and P3. In the
end it was Frijns who finished second. Van Asseldonk unfortunately
dropped back to P4. Petri Suvanto finished the race on P10.
Race
2:
Frijns again had a good start and was able to move up to P4 in the
first lap. After that, Robin Frijns did one fastest race lap after
the other and overtook all drivers in fron of him. 3 laps to the end
he took over the lead of the field and finally after 9 laps he won
his 5th race of the season.
Hannes van
Asseldonk first moved up to P5 in the opening laps but then he was
involved in some hard overtaking action and dropped back to P7. Also
Petri Suvanto was able to show a good race. The young Finn moved up
to P9. |
