Free Practice:
In the first free practice on the short-cut circuit layout of the
Nürburgring Robin Frijns and Oscar Tunjo showed an impressive pace
right from the beginning on. Frijns in the end set the fastest
laptime P 1 and Tunjo was running on P 3.
Qualifying 1 + 2:
In the first Qualifying Robin Frijns and Oscar Tunjo were leading
the timesheets untill the final minutes. In the end they finished
the Qualifying on P 3 - Oscar Tunjo and P 4 - Robin Frijns.
In Qualifying two
things went a bit unlucky. Oscar Tunjo wasn´t able to catch a free
lap on the short track. Robin Frijns was suffering the same problem
with trafic and on top he had problems with a loose engine cover on
his car. In the end it was P 4 - Robin Frijns and P 5 - Oscar Tunjo.
Race 1:
Oscar Tunjo and Robin Frijns, both had a good start. Tunjo moved
upto P 2 in the first corner, Frijns took over P 3 in the second
corner and was following his Teammate. After a Safety Car Period,
Frijns was able to overtake Tunjo at the Re-Start into the first
hairpin after Start-Finish line. From that point on Frijns was
running on P 2, followed by Teammate Tunjo on P 3. Untill the
chequered flag nothing changed anymore and both Kaufmann Drivers
were able to go onto the podium!
Race 2: In
the second race both Kaufmann Drivers again had a good start and
kept their positions P 4 - Frijns and P 5 - Tunjo. Even though both
were running on a very fast race pace with fastest race laps it was
impossible to start any overtaking maneuver during the whole race.
Finally they finished on P 4 - Frijns and P 5 - Tunjo.
