Free Practice:
During all 3 free practice sessions all Kaufmann Drivers were really
quick. In the first free practice it was. P3 - Vandoorne, P6 -
Riberas, P11 - Schothorst. In the second free practice following
positions. P2 - Vandoorne, P6 - Schothorst, P14 - Riberas. And
finally in pree practice 3 the Kaufmann Drivers took over the
control: P1 - Riberas, P2 - Vandoorne, P11 - Schothorst.
Qualifying:
In the two Qualifying session the Kaufmann Drivers again showed a
very strong performance. Alex Riberas took Pole Position for both
races. Vandoorne qualified on P4 and P3 and Schothorst qualified on
P3 and P5. So a very strong performance of all 3 Drivers.
Race 1:
Heavy Rain was the cause while the race was started behind the
Safety Car. Alex Riberas took advance of his Pole-Position and the
clear view and kept the lead. Schothorst spun off the track in the
first lap and finished on P 23. Vandoorne moved up positions with a
clean drive. In the end he was catching his Teammate Riberas and was
only 0,6 of Second behind. Riberas finally took the first win with a
clean Start-Finish Victory. Both Kaufmann Drivers drove a perfect
race and won with 8 seconds lead.
Race 2: In
another wet race Alex Riberas had a good start and kept the lead
untill Teammate Vandoorne overtook him. Vandoorne from that point on
was pulling away in the front. Schothorst had a crash and retiered
early in the race. Riberas was in fight for P2 but then had a
contact and also went off track and finally finished P6. Vandoorne
in front drove fastest race laps in a row and pulled more than 8
seconds away and took another ompressive victory for this year.
